Crazy Cat

Yeeaah! The bf delivered this birthday! With Spell's insanely beautiful Caspian Tiger Kimono. I'll tell you one thing, it took outrageous self-restraint on my part to wait until my birthday to tear open the package from Spell which arrived a week before! I was so excited with it that I wore it ALL weekend non-stop. Yes, I realise it's the middle of January, and yes, that it's possibly the coldest week of this winter, but I couldn't help myself. Wore it to a dance class, to dinner with my folks, to drinks with friends, to dinner with bf's folks, to lunch... It pained me to hang it up on Sunday evening.

Can't wait to rock this baby on hols in Ibiza in April with short shorts, bikinis and warrior boots.

As a birthday treat to myself I bought the Klaia ring from Odette New York. Also wearing this incessantly. Reminds me of climbing mountains.

Movin' on up

Oooops.... Life took over this week and so no blogging! Was busy celebrating my birthday! Officially very late twenties now. Embracing it with some inspo for my 29th year...

Bootie Call

Purchased these cute booties in Topshop last week. The sales assistant told me they were flying out of the shop and as soon as I tried them on, I realised why. Rock n' roll chic, insanely comfortable (my top priority when it comes to a shoe!) and go with EVERYTHING. Honestly, I can't think of one item of clothing I own that I couldn't wear these boots with. I'm not normally one to follow the masses, especially in the fashion stakes, but these boots rocked so much that I decided they were a necessary addition to my (far too extensive) boot collection.

And true enough, since buying them, I've noticed these boots are being flaunted all over the blogging world!

Fur + Mini

Loving this new faux fur panelled coat which Santa brought me. Also, this dress is one of my favourites. I picked it up in a vintage shop a couple of years ago. It was originally full length, which also looked fab, but I decided to style it into a super short mini - I'm short, minis suit me better.

SLR still out of action so having to experiment with instagram I'm afraid!

The simpler things in life...

Really enjoyed this cute shoot from Pull & Bear's Spring 2011 campaign. It celebrates the simple things in life... having carefree fun with friends on a bright spring day. Bring on the Spring. I'm getting bored of the dark mornings and evenings!

This week I covet...

The Klaia ring by Odette New York!!!

Ok, could this be my perfect ring? I am in love. In line with my new year's resolution to collect more finger bling, this is on my "buy urgently" list. Introducing the Klaia ring by Odette New York which is carved in the shape of an open mountain peak, by hand from wax and cast in recycled sterling silver. Mountains are my playground. I love the feeling of camping in a remote corrie high up in the hills. I love how Odette have so effortlessly managed to incorporate this into their simple, but very striking designs.

Their other jewellery is equally special. Other winners include the Blade ring (photo 1) from their Minerva Divinus collection and the Arrow Cuff bracelets from their Athene Divinus collection, both available in sterling silver or brass.

Pot of Gold

While I was at home over Christmas, I was playing dress up with my Mum's jewellery and I came across these beautiful cuffs and a charm bracelet, all of which she received as gifts for her 21st birthday (36 years ago). Some of them are even inscribed. I remember I used to wear them around the house when I was little. My mum doesn't wear them anymore so she has passed them on to me. I am so excited about this.
I LOVE owning things that have a history, especially from within our family. They need to be cleaned and the clasps need to be fixed but apart from that they are just perfect.

My favourite is the charm bracelet. If you look closely you can see all the various charms that my Mum collected over the years and each one has a story behind it. I LOVE that and I want to know each one. I can't wait to add my own charms. Does anyone know a good place to pick up gold charms?

Deer Oh Deer

Picked up this stag head sweater in Topshop last year, but I always forget about it! I was packing my bags to go home for Christmas this year and I found it rolled up in the back of a drawer. Time to resurrect it I think. A solid staple for the winter months. It got cold enough last week to break out my Coal fleece-lined slouchy beanie making for a very cosy head. The bobble is cute overload.
