The slow burner

Just received my One Teaspoon Eagle Shadow bikini in the post. When I first saw it on the Nastygal website, I was not a fan. Yet, I couldn't stop thinking about it. That's usually a good sign that I will end up buying it. When I saw it appear on Little Navajo's blog, I was sold (she bought it in grey and painted in black with fabric paint, with impressive results). Of course, by that stage, it had sold out everywhere. When Nastygal put a notice on their facebook page that they had it back in stock, I bought it immediately. So glad I did, as it's sold out again. However, my sources inform me that later in the year, it will be available in blue! I may have to purchase again.

Mist-ical

Took a little trip to Loch Lomond with the bf back in March. Being Scotland, and being Loch Lomond, it rained the whole weekend but the mist only added to the mystical magic of this place. I was obviously too lazy to actually pack anything warm or in any way appropriate for such weather, so I spent all weekend in the bf's t-shirts and sweaters. Felt incredibly liberating. Most of his sweaters have now been transferred to my wardrobe.

March mish mash

Some images from Dublin in March where it has been unseasonably sunny!

Items worthy of mention include...

New Spell boots - a bargain in the sale. I am convinced Spell's boots are the best possible solution when the sun makes an appearance in Spring and one wishes to air one's white (to the point of sometimes looking blue) and neglected Irish legs that haven't seen the light of day since last summer.

New Mango Navajo jumper available here. I just can't take it off me these days.

And of course, the ever faithful staples - Spell necklace, Free People Voile slip, Ecote jacket, Moschino scarf.

The bf purchased the skull in January from Urban Outfitters for a mere €4. He brought me to a graffiti artist supply shop yesterday and picked up some chrome spray paint et voila...

New additions

I know heather+thyme has been very quiet of late, but I assure you I have been a busy bee. The proof is in the latest additions to my already packed full and overflowing wardrobe. Been spending like a fiend but at least I have something to show for it.

I'm so excited about this winter kate dress that I picked up on ebay for half price. Of course, it is about 2 foot too long for me but that can be sorted. Although, it looks so beautiful hanging on the outside of my wardrobe that I almost wouldn't mind if I never got to wear it! A gorgeous piece of work.

A walk on the beach last Sunday wearing my fave Minnetonka boots. I have a short pair in tan too and went through a phase of wearing them incessantly.

Spartan

I recently stumbled across this beautifully stylish American online shop, Spartan. Not only does the website stock design trinkets, tools and accessories, their blog is truly inspiring. I love its emphasis on craft and practicality. The above are a selection of images from their online shop, Spartan and their blog, Spartanjournal.

Check out in particular, the Japanese brass bottle openers and the All my thoughts journal.
